• On Saturday, July 31, the Beacon House Group of Washington, D.C. Inner City Outings will visit Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens. The park is located in Maryland and is Metro-accessible from D.C. so we will be using public transportation (no cars/drivers needed). While at the Gardens we will participate in the 45-minute tour at 11:00 AM and then spend a couple of hours exploring, hiking the nature trails, and playing games with the kids. We do not yet know the exact number of children participating, but expect 10-12. We will need to leave Beacon House by 9:30 AM, so all volunteers will need to arrive at Beacon House not later than 9:00 AM. We will return before 5:00 PM. We will provide additional details about the activities for the outing a few days in advance to volunteers who sign up.
