Mission

Wheeler Creek Community Development Corporation (WCCDC) is a community-based organization created by concerned and dedicated residents committed to meeting all challenges of advancing their community. WCCDC serves community residents living in the Washington Highlands area of Southeast Washington, DC and the surrounding neighborhoods with a special focus on those with the greatest social and economic need. Wheeler Creek Community Development Corporation is a guided by its vision to meet the needs of the community in which it has its roots and to build on its initial success to create safe, stable neighborhoods in which affordable housing and economic development opportunities abound. To fulfill its mission, WCCDC will work to create a safe, healthy, self-sustaining community, which will be evidenced by cultural enrichment, educational attainment, wealth creation, economic development and decent affordable housing opportunities.
